Drug Addiction Treatment

Conditions We Treat
Addiction & Dependencies

What is drug addiction?

Drug addiction is a condition where individuals compulsively seek and use drugs, compulsively seek and use substances, despite the negative effects it may have on their health, relationships, work, and daily life. This condition is also known as substance use disorder (SUD).

Addiction often develops slowly over time – individuals usually begin with recreational use, and then develop tolerance, dependence and addiction.

At Aston Private, we believe that increased substance abuse often develops in response as a coping mechanism to other mental health issues such as grief, stress and trauma.

Your treatment begins with a phone assessment conducted by one of our experienced psychologists. This assessment helps us to establish the level of medical care required for your detox and the length of time for you to detox from substance use safely.
