Dr Damien Ford is Aston Private’s Clinical Director and an experienced Specialist General Practitioner with more than 20 years of clinical practice across general practice, emergency medicine, and drug and alcohol medicine.
With more than a decade of experience working in addiction medicine, Dr Ford brings extensive knowledge of the medical and clinical considerations involved in treating alcohol and other drug concerns.
At Aston Private, he contributes to the clinical oversight of care, helping ensure treatment is informed by each client’s medical history, current health, circumstances and individual needs.
Experience in Addiction and General Medicine
Dr Ford has worked across both inpatient and outpatient settings, caring for people with a wide range of medical, mental health and substance use concerns.
His experience in addiction medicine includes the assessment and ongoing medical management of people experiencing alcohol and drug dependency, alongside broader general health concerns that may influence treatment and recovery.
This breadth of experience allows him to consider a client’s health as a whole rather than focusing on a single issue in isolation.
